Staten Island Historians Piece Together Genealogy Of Wu-Tang Clan

NEW YORK—In what many are calling the most comprehensive study of its kind, Staten Island historians Robert Wilburn and Charles Tinsley have successfully traced the lines of the infamous Wu-Tang Clan all the way back to 1993 A.D.

(Wilburn explains the difficult-to-follow family tree of Ol’ Dirty Bastard.)

The monumental undertaking, which is being hailed as a major breakthrough in the field of hip-hop genealogy, used a series of historical records—including Wu-Tang Forever, Iron Flag, and 8 Diagrams—to piece together the group’s vast and intricate ancestry.

“Through our exhaustive research, we have determined not only the start of the Wu-Tang Clan’s reign, but also the very moment of its legendary downfall,” said Wilburn, who has authored numerous books on the House of RZA. “Indeed, we now have conclusive proof as to why all the other wannabe MCs bowed down to this dynastic force.”

Had a discussion(argument) with my wife(who is mixed black.white and beautiful) last night about Racism and that despite what most people believe and the fact that we have a black president, racism is still very much a part of the life of the everyday black person. What I tried to explain to her is that everyone’s experience is different, and that a beautiful black(especially mixed) woman’s experience is much different than that of a black mans. Apparently the difference (although i don’t know what she looks like) extends to 15 yr old black girls as well. Be warned, the video is shocking:

Black teen pregnancies? A ‘crisis’ in black America.
White teen pregnancies? A ‘blessed event.’

If you grow up in Hawaii you’re ‘exotic.’
Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, you’re the quintessential ‘American story.’

Similarly, if you name your kid Barack you’re ‘unpatriotic.’
Name your kids Trig and Track, you’re ‘colorful.’

If you’re a Democrat and you make a VP pick without fully vetting the individual you’re ‘reckless.’
A Republican who doesn’t fully vet is a ‘maverick.’

43. Right after Peja won the 3-point contest: “Kenny said it was going to be an all-international night. I want to know which international brother is going to win the slam dunk contest.”

barack-obama-new-yorker-cover.jpg

The editor should be fired. Anyone of African-American descent working for them should resign. I’m so damn pissed by this I can’t even really comment. What pisses me off even more is that these assholes tried to defend it. Here’s what they said

“…the magazine said the cover “combines a number of fantastical images about the Obamas and shows them for the obvious distortions they are.”

“The burning flag, the nationalist-radical and Islamic outfits, the fist-bump, the portrait on the wall? All of them echo one attack or another. Satire is part of what we do, and it is meant to bring things out into the open, to hold up a mirror to prejudice, the hateful, and the absurd. And that’s the spirit of this cover,” the New Yorker statement said.”

I say bullshit. there is a political agenda behind this. It’s inflammatory, and racist at best. What is behind Michelle Obama having an afro? An AK-47? Fatigues? Also, if you read the article it isn’t a positive one at all. Which of course is the writer’s right. But you cannot use the excuse that the cover is “lampooning” all the lies about the Obama’s to show how absurd they are if the article isn’t positive. Doesn’t make any sense. That’s not how satire works. All this cover will do is re-inforce the Republican lies being spread about Obama “hating America”, being muslim, etc.

If this cover disgusts you, please write, call, and or email the New Yorker HERE and let them know how chicken shit this is.

Viral…….. According to Wikipedia:

Viral marketing and viral advertising refer to marketing techniques that use pre-existing social networks to produce increases in brand awareness or to achieve other marketing objectives (such as product sales) through self-replicating viral processes, analogous to the spread of pathological and computer viruses. It can be word-of-mouth delivered or enhanced by the network effects of the Internet.[1] Viral marketing is a marketing phenomenon that facilitates and encourages people to pass along a marketing message voluntarily.[2] Viral promotions may take the form of video clips, interactive Flash games, advergames, ebooks, brandable software, images, or even text messages. The basic form of viral marketing is not infinitely sustainable.

According to Yahoo News, “Viral” attacks on Obama’s Patriotism is headline news, front page even. Funny thing is, I’m on the net ALL DAY. I haven’t seen any indication of “viral” attacks on Obama’s patriotism. What I have seen are “viral” attacks on McCain. Multiple video’s circulating showing McCain “Flip-Flopping”, contradicting himself, and being outright unaware of what he speaks. Truly viral stuff, different video, audio, articles circulating daily.

Strangely though, I found no mention of ANY of that on Yahoo news, CNN, or any other major internet news source yet. But this so called, invisible “viral” attack on Obama makes the headlines? It seems to me that Yahoo News must be part of the “viral” campaign against Obama. Nowhere on Yahoo have you seen any mention of McCain’s “Spiritual Guide” Pastor John Hagee, or his other “Spiritual Guide” Rev. Rod Parsley and their outrageous views. But for 2 months straight, Rev. Wright was headline news.

The propaganda machine is already in full effect….Don’t believe the hype.

On September 18, 2006, Pastor John Hagee — whose endorsement Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said this past Sunday he was “glad to have” — told NPR’s Terry Gross that “Hurricane Katrina was, in fact, the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans.” “New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God,” Hagee said, because “there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came.”In February, after working hard to gain Hagee’s endorsement, McCain said he was “very honored” to receive it. Since then, he has both “repudiate[d]” and defended Hagee’s anti-Catholic and “anti-anything” remarks. But as Think Progress has noted, McCain has never specifically commented on Hagee’s offensive beliefs about Hurricane Katrina or his anti-gay comments.

Here is a list of Hagee’s comments:
