Hrmm it seems like these facts were taken
straight from the Librals that want to try a hand
at being bush. It seems like most of the
    democrats/ anti-republicans
would rather wear a turn and convert to Islamic beliefs
before they would even consider a republican in being right.

    Did you know……?

Did you know 47 countries have re-established their embassies in Iraq?

Did you know the Iraqi government employs 1.2 million Iraqi people?

Did you know 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools are under rehabilitation, 263 schools are now under construction and 38 new schools have been built in Iraq?

Did you know Iraq’s higher educational structure consists of 20 Universities, 46 Institutes or colleges and 4 research centers?

Did you know 25 Iraq students departed for the United States in January 2004 for the re-established Fulbright program?

Did you know the Iraqi Navy is operational? They have (5) 100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels, and a naval infantry regiment.

Did you know Iraq’s Air Force consists of three operational fighting squadrons, 9 reconnaissance and 3 C-130 transport aircraft which operate day and night, and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and 4 Bell jet rangers?

Did you know Iraq has a counter-terrorist unit and a Commando Battalion?

Did you know the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000 fully trained and equipped police officers?

Did you know there are 5 Police Academies in Iraq that produce over 3500 new officers each 8 weeks?

Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on in Iraq? They include 301 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities.

Did you know the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened in June of 2004?

Did you know 2 candidates in the Iraqi presidential election had a recent televised debate recently?

    OF COURSE WE DIDN’T KNOW!!!!!!

    But the Media does know!!!!!!

    WHY DIDN’T WE KNOW?

    OUR MEDIA WOULDN’T TELL US!!

Because an administration hating media and some politicians would rather see the world blow up, than lose their power.

Instead of shouting these accomplishments from every rooftop, they would rather show photo’s of what a few perverted malcontent soldiers have done in prisons in many cases never disclosing the circumstances surrounding the events.

Instead of showing our love for our country, the USA, we get photos of incidents at Abu Ghraib.

The lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves only one purpose. It undermines the world’s perception of the United States and our soldiers.

WE ARE NOT THE BAD GUYS IN THIS STRUGGLE FOR WORLD PEACE!.

  11. rhyme2funky Says:

    Enigmatic…To ya first comment,

    A) I don’t like Bush, but didn’t like Bill Clinton either so Republican/Democrat is irrelevant.

    B) I’m NOT a liberal. that’s a bullshit label to try to put me in a neat lil box. I’m too big for boxes, think too big to be categorized.

    C) What do Islamic beliefs have to do with anything? Do I have to be a Christian to be Patriotic or want the best FROM my country? What if I did convert to Islam, would that make me a criminal, or the enemy?

Now, to your second comment. Please put your anti-liberal, Bush loving feelings aside and re-read the facts I posted. Then read what you posted. In your heart of hearts, can you really tell me that the two are comparable?

Example, you say 1.2 milliion Iraqi’s are employed by the government. GREAT. How many were employed by the Iraqi government before the war? Are you saying that because 1.2 million people are employed by the Iraqi goverment, that offsets the 1.2 million that have been killed? Or 1.1 Million injured Iraqi’s? Or the 5 Million orphaned Iraqi children? Or how about the 60% of the total population that are unemployed?

Schools rebuilt, renovated, etc…WE DESTROYED THEM TO BEGIN WITH.

Army, navy, Police Force…..WE DESTROYED THEM TO BEGIN WITH.

    Universities….they had those already

We ARE the bad guys, this is NOT a struggle for world peace. It’s a struggle for oil. If you believe this is about world peace, you are sadly mistaken.

  12. Enigmatic Says:

    rhyme,

this blog is something thats looks like our media today. EXAGERATING everything, if there were 1.2 million Iraqi civilians killed this would be more then global, and second there would be complete media coverage becasue this would be not only war but genocide.

to bring to light your second answer, if your not a liberal then don’t complain becasue I’m not labeling you….Most liberals if you watch any news at all make it good and damn clear that they are liberals and they do kill babys…..
(stereotypical of course but at the same time true.)

Second of all do you feel us as “Americans” should have any responibility? or is it that easy to sit on a couch and have your wife do the bills and bring you a cold one on her way to the room? thats a metaphore for what all “You” “Liberals” want to do. If we went over and destroyed that many schools/universities/military forces then don’t you feel some sort of obligation to help rebuild them? or is responsiblilty not a question? Islamic radicalists are enemies as well. The TALIBAN is not a terrorist organization its a sect of the Islamic faith……facts are what hurt, you should read more into the facts that I did post about pre/present war in Iraq/Afghanistan.

So Ryme in my heart of hearts I honestly believe you should get your facts straight then repost =).

I believe that George bush has messed up to but its still our obligation to set of a stronger form of government over there in the end we’ll have an ally and possibly a foundation for the Ärmageddon”as you christians will have it. because the valley of Mageddo is bigger then Isreal =) we need more help.

So Patriots were is your American flag now? on your back?

  13. Enigmatic Says:

All the following was taken from the
    CIA WORLD FACT BOOK

    Population:
    28,221,181 (July 2008 est.)

    Ethnic groups:
Arab 75%-80%, Kurdish 15%-20%, Turkoman, Assyrian, or other 5%
    Religions:
    Muslim 97% (Shi’a 60%-65%, Sunni 32%-37%), Christian or other 3%

    Shi’a Muslim’s are the radicals….

    Economy - overview:
Iraq’s economy is dominated by the oil sector, which has traditionally provided about 95% of foreign exchange earnings. Although looting, insurgent attacks, and sabotage have undermined economy rebuilding efforts, economic activity is beginning to pick up in areas recently secured by the US military surge. Oil exports are around levels seen before Operation Iraqi Freedom, and total government revenues have benefited from high oil prices. Despite political uncertainty, Iraq is making some progress in building the institutions needed to implement economic policy and has negotiated a debt reduction agreement with the Paris Club and a new Stand-By Arrangement with the IMF. Iraq has received pledges for $13.5 billion in foreign aid for 2004-07 from outside of the US, more than $33 billion in total pledges. The International Compact with Iraq was established in May 2007 to integrate Iraq into the regional and global economy, and the Iraqi government is seeking to pass laws to strengthen its economy. This legislation includes a hydrocarbon law to establish a modern legal framework to allow Iraq to develop its resources and a revenue sharing law to equitably divide oil revenues within the nation, although both are still bogged down in discussions. The Central Bank has been successful in controlling inflation through appreciation of the dinar against the US dollar. Reducing corruption and implementing structural reforms, such as bank restructuring and developing the private sector, will be key to Iraq’s economic success.

according to the CIA world fact book the unemployment rate is no were near 60% were did you get this info?

    Unemployment rate:
    18% to 30% (2006 est.)

    Unemployment:

    http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/IRIN/c14c2cc0f6c99e87f284df922a039cad.htm

U have to take what you read from the cia with a grain of salt….they did after all help sell the lies about WMD’s and a 911 connection to the American people, sending us to an illegal war.

As far as the oil goes….do u think the Bush Crime Family went over there to “liberate” the Iraqi people? NO, they went to liberate their oil. The reason why the International Compact is bogged down in discussions is because the Iraqi’s don’t want to give up their oil to the Oil cartel. I won’t even go into the Central Bank.

  16. enigmatic Says:

    Well Ryme,
    Do you drive a car?
are you bitching about gas prices?
well if you answered yes to either of those questions you would agree that
we as “Americans” do need oil. or maybe we should try to open ANWR
oh but wait Liberals stopped that to!
so please don’t complain about gas/oil prices and at the same time want to end the war.

if I take it Hillary Clinton voted for the war,
also if I’m right Democrats were majority in congress when they “declaired war”, and if I take it right the President does not have the right to declair war without congressional permission.
Congress was also shown the same information that was brought before bush about WMD’s and made the same decision to back the president. I just guess congress must come up with false truths also. what are we going to do everyone’s lieing!!!! It sounds like the red tide…….

The war is over it has been….
the mission was to take a tyrant that was a threat to millions
of peoples lives. right now its a police action to liberate the people in Iraq
globally its a war on terrorism……

and you still haven’t answered to question about our obligation to the
people that you want to helplessly leave to the mercy of neighboring countries,
But hey its the American way right?

  17. enigmatic Says:

The last complete census in Iraq conducted in 1997 ( WAR STARTED SEPT 11, 2001…….) found 4.05 million households in the country, a figure ORB used to calculate that approximately 1.03 million people had died as a result of the war, the researchers found.

The margin of error in the survey, conducted in August and September 2007, was 1.7 percent, giving a range of deaths of 946,258 to 1.12 million.

This is within the first four paragraphs of the article they have more then 3 different figures. man you Brittans need to make up your mind……..
and if thre is 1.12 million deaths how many were Taliban, how many protested violently against American troops and ext…………..
Also death toll today is 5,000-5,500 American troops —-damn were good to waist 1.12 mill of them…….

  18. rhyme2funky Says:

The mission was NOT to take out a tyrant. He was NEVER a threat to millions of lives. Those are the lies that were told to sell the war. He NEVER had WMD’s, and NEVER had any connection with Al-Qaida. The Bush administration knew that ON 9/11 up til the day Iraq was invaded.

  19. Sam Says:

Quote (Enigmatic): “The TALIBAN is not a terrorist organization its a sect of the Islamic faith……”

I’m sorry, but I am a Muslim, and the Taliban is definitely NOT a Muslim sect. They’re a patriarchal political piece-of-crap group who disgrace my religion by calling themselves Muslim.

Just thought I’d point that out.

  20. Enigmatic Says:

    Sam,

I’m glad you did point that out, but the point I’m trying to make is that the Taliban are not a terrorist organization and they are part of the islamic faith, I’m sorry to tell you that your wrong but you are all their beliefs are from the Shi’ite point of view which right now is the majority of Islam in Iraq at this time and is also the most turbulent especially toward American troops. and Ryme do you not believe that Kurds are people? have you read our constitution and learned sumething about unalienable rights? do you think that it is right for a madman to use biological weapons on millions of innocent people?

On March 16th 1988, Iraqi jets bombed the town of Halabja with chemical weapons. At least 5,000 people were killed and 7,000 severely injured. Fourteen years on, thousands are still suffering the affects of the chemical weapons.

wow it just took Americans a little to long to see that there is something wrong ahe??????? seems like we’re good at that.

so tell me what people wern’t in immediate danger? us Americans? why? because its safe to view the world from a television set thats why………..Answer these questions and then tell yourself that your an American.

  21. rhyme2funky Says:

“On March 16th 1988, Iraqi jets bombed the town of Halabja with chemical weapons……” Irrelevant. Should I list all the dates and places we’ve bombed, or funded coups, or “contra’s”, or rebels? How about the bombing of Iraq for one…lol.

THEY DID NOT ATTACK US, OR DECLARE WAR ON US. I’m not going to argue meaningless points with you. The bottom line is this is an illegal war. Thanks for your comments.

  22. iraq war facts Says:

    [...] [...]

  23. rhyme2funky Says:

I deleted Enigmatic’s last comment because I refuse to argue benign points. The facts are:

    A) We went to war initially because the Bush Crime Family said Iraq was responsible for 9/11.
    B) When that was shown to be a lie, then the reason became WMD’s and “mushroom clouds” made Saddam a threat to our security.
    C) When that was shown to be a lie, then it was to liberate the Iraqi people from an evil dictator.

It’s painfully obvious to those who haven’t drank the kool-aid that this is an illegal occupation for the sole purpose of exploiting Iraq’s resources (oil). There are countless “evil” rulers who exploit, torture, and kill their people, hell we support many of them. Why aren’t we “liberating” them? Cameroon? Zimbabwe? Swaziland? How about Tibet, oppressed by China since before WE put Saddam in power in Iraq.

  25. Peacehunter Says:

You say war is good?! How the hell can you say that when it plainly shows right here on this website that 1.2 million people have died that are JUST from iraq and the 4000 soldiers from the US….. not counting all the people who have been wounded??!! What type of sick bastard are you?

And amerICAN, not everybody in Iraq is a terrorist, so nuking the entire place would result in too many unnecessary deaths, in addition to making the USA hated by every country in the world. Then every country would probably end up attacking us….

Nuking all of Iraq would only keep the war going.

  26. PEACE MAKER Says:

    PEACE is the only WAY!!!!!

  27. JustWondrin Says:

Looks like the guy who had the #10 posting can do copy/paste. His “facts” come from a supposed letter that has been circulating the internet (under several different names) since 2003. Snopesdotcom has a couple of links, most notably one to a letter from an Iraqi rebutting the progress. Someone just sent me those “facts” and I was looking for rebuttal facts when I found your very concise and informative site. Also, putting a coat of paint on a school doesn’t do a thing for education when the people are either dead, refugees, or afraid to go outside.

  28. John Says:

Wow. most of you are all dumb you cant nuke a country. do you know that in doing that it can effect us to. are the war in not good retards… its putting us in debt

  29. mike Says:

“THEY DID NOT ATTACK US, OR DECLARE WAR ON US.” -Ryhme.

If this is true, then why do they refuse all peace efforts, only using suicide bomber to blow up civilians and troops?

My brother is a troop in Iraq, you cant trust anyone there he tells me. The most friendly civilian in the town could be an insurgent waiting for his chance.

  30. Ray Says:

most of you dont even know what its like to fight in Iraq like the person above me said you cant trust anyone there woman and children have attacked U.S. troops because they have their family members killed. and Iraq did have wmd’s but they were all destroyed when george bush was president. do your research, most of the things that you will find about the war are opinions there is no solid evidence that that many civilians were killed in the war and even if that many was killed there probly was a good reason that they was killed. bitching to the government is not how to end the war, and its not how to support our troops its only making things worse so stfu and support the war

  31. Trenton-Sucks-Dick Says:

    I LIKE BIG DICKS

  32. Abby Says:

I think it’s very funny that someone said that liberals “kill babies”.
First of all, people who are pro-choice support the women’s CHOICE to have an abortion. They are not advertising abortion…
Second of all you’re supporting the war, thats killing other innocent humans. How could you possible be so hypocritical? American soldiers are over in Iraq killing civilians, ect. Yes they may be killing the “bad guys” as well, but if we never went over there in the first place then we would of had zero need to kill them in the first place.
Have we found weapons of mass destruction? No, not that I’ve heard of.
And what was the reason we went over there in the first place?
I am positively estatic that Obama is president, now the war will end, my family can come home, and I will be at peace.

  33. PFC Miller Says:

war is good. war made America and fixed the great depression. we just need to pull our troops out and level it ALL. iran included. i am in the Army currently and if anyone says war is bad, f off

  34. Dr. Bob Says:

the war in iraq is good but the fighting and the killing isnt but we are there for a reason and we’re doing what wer’re doing for a reason.

  35. Oximoron- Peaceful Humans Says:

War is terrible. How can someone even joke about it benifiting the world?
